Rhode River
The owners of this waterfront home wanted to include a a swimming pool in the design but did not want to lose the proximity to the water that the footprint of their previous home allowed. The solution was to place the pool on the non-waterfront side of the house, incorporating it into an entry courtyard, and accenting it as a decorative water feature with a wall of fountains. A small cabana and trellis frame the end of the pool and the outside edge of the courtyard. All rooms open onto extensive decks overlooking the water, allowing the interior spaces to flow into outdoor rooms and the view of the water beyond.
