This Shingle Style home was built over the basement of the previous home which allowed us to build closer to the water than the current code allowed. The clients wanted a 7000SF home, but one which would not appear large so we selected a Cottage Style, incorporating a Bastard Roof and field stone chimney, but exploded the scale with higher ceilings, bigger windows and fatter columns. We retained and designed the home around the existing decks, pool and gazebo on the waterside. The three car garage was pulled forward to create an entry forecourt and is linked to the house with a covered breezeway which frames the view of the water upon approach.
